Have you asked the respective photographers if you can use their work? because i know you haven't asked at least one of them.

I was sent the pictures from the riders themselves.

These are being used commercially, you should have asked/bought them as the riders will have bought them for private use.

If any of them had watermarks I would have contacted them before I used them. so far one of the photographers has told me that a photo was by him so we put his name in the information on the photograph. counting that the riders/parents of the riders sent me the photographs I assume that it was a member of there family or a friend who has taken them. Thanks Smile

It would probably help more if you knew more about photographers rights and the use of photographs within business's

just because its an online based shop means half the hassel and costs on finding a building , setting up a work shop etc its not a bad thing....

flag davehayz93 (Feb 19, 2012 at 6:43)
Well let's see, half the distributors won't deal with people that have a bedroom account, like the decent ones! I know this! Fishers, Madison, 2 pure, silverfish, windwave and decade all demand you have premises! And if you trying to say crc don't have a work shop then your wrong! Unlucky, one way Stepup your going to find out the hard way! Because I did!

I'm not being an ass about it! I thought you could just sell stuff from home, but really you can't! No one lets oi! The accounts mangers for them actually come to the shop, sorry if I come across abit harsh, but it's a f*cking bummer when they close your account and you have orderes to sort!

i dont mind been proven wrong, ether way i still cant see what why dave thinks you need a shop to have a team. The two things are not relevant to each other, if stepup cycles want to back riders and create a team then surly thats a good thing. stop put the team down.

^ i completely agree at the end of the day people are entitled to their small minded opinions but how ever , if you were offered to be in the position im in, nobody would turn it down, riding is about having fun and stuff

Yeah it's cool! I'm only going on about the shop! Yeah your right this blog is strictly on about the team not the shop, I'm just getting a point across,

Tom currently we have no plans for a xc team im afraid. Dave im already in contact with people at fisher outdoor, silverfish and another big uk distributor and they are all allowing me to open up accounts with them once my website is up and running (this will be up and running in a few weeks). I also am having storage premises built witch I will be running stepup cycles from until I can afford larger premises. Our whole shop is based upon giving the riders and cycling community something back. having a good strong grassroots riding team is a part of this. Smile

Well when I had a storage unit and a website, my account was closed, now I have an actual shop I'm fine, they told me storage wasn't good enough!

flag stepupcycles (Feb 19, 2012 at 12:09)
It wont just be a storage unit. everything will be done from there e.g packaging, storage, Customer service, ict related work (website changes, social media stuff ect) it will be more of a HQ think like crc but on a way smaller scale for now. I have spoken to people on the phone from fisher outdoor and silverfish and they have both said i can open accounts with them once I have a website set up. Im also the only uk dealer for Macmahone witch may be a reason to them letting me.

come on stepup, its spelt WHICH! im sure i've seen this spelling mistake 1000 times! Wink, but in all seriousness if youre ever after a more XC orientated team i'd definitely be interested, im loving riding my 150mm specialized pitch at the moment!

You really should just tell people that what your building is a big shed. People get the picture easier.
